After retiring to a remote monastery, eccentric pet detective Ace Ventura is pulled back into action to recover a sacred white bat whose disappearance threatens to spark a war between two African tribes. Armed with little more than boundless confidence, bizarre disguises, and spectacularly questionable instincts, Ace stumbles from one absurd situation to the next. As the mystery grows, he uncovers a larger conspiracy and must somehow save the day despite leaving chaos in his wake.
