Sydney Wright is a West Texas–born pop polymath crafting shimmering, smartly layered songs out of Austin, Texas. Blending warm hooks with experimental edges, her sound gives Maggie Rogers and Imogen Heap, brought to life through live loops, Ableton automation, and a voice with just enough grit to keep things interesting.
Her work has earned her a spot on the NPR Austin 100 List, a Best Pop Act nomination at the Austin Music Awards, and praise from Austin Chronicle for music that’s “lush, layered…building the way a storm gathers.” With new songs including this year’s Valentine’s Day release, ‘John Cena,’ a love song about all green flags, Wright proves pop can be both smart and sincerely fun.
